The Cowpens Fire Department is organized and dedicated to serve, protect and preserve the life and property of the citizens, businesses and visitors of the Town of Cowpens. The department will provide this service with the highest level of professionalism through the delivery of fire prevention, public education, incident stabilization and first responder services, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

To achieve this mission, the Department works with the Town to insure that there is proper and sufficient equipment and personnel available to respond to emergencies and to perform life-saving activities in an urgent manner.

The Fire Department provides:

• Hazardous Materials Response (Operations Level)

• Fire Inspections and Pre-Fire Plan Services

The Cowpens Fire Department is governed by the Town Council, which is elected by ballot by the citizens of the Town  of Cowpens.
